Lyrics Writing and Important Seminar

I have not updated this site from quite some time as I was busy in updating the other site. That is really a tedious task as I have to listen the songs multiple times to write lyrics of those songs. You would wonder that many lyrics are available on the net so, I could have done a copy-paste job,as most of other Uttarakhand related sites are doing. Its true that some of the lyrics of Uttarakhandi songs are available but most of them are having errors because if the original lyrics writer has made a mistake then all others have just copied the same mistake in sites. So you have multiple sites with same wrong lyrics. So someone has to take the pain of writing the correct lyrics and I have chosen to be one and believe me I am thoroughly enjoying the same. Any ways you visit this and judge yourself.

Now let me update you about one very important seminar held at Garhwal Bhawan recently. In this event the poster of Shri Rishi Ballabh Sundariyal ji is also released. This the third poster released by CU + MU TEAM. Kudos to them. Let me tell you more about Sundariyal ji (Courtesy: Charu Tewari)

क्रान्तिवीर स्व. ऋषिवल्लभ सुन्दरियाल देश के उन गिने-चुने महापुरुषों में हैं जिन्होंने बिना किसी स्वार्थ के राष्ट निर्माण में अपना योगदान किया। पौड़ी जनपद के दूरस्थ ग्रामीण क्षेत्र से निकलकर उन्होंने कश्मीर और गोवा मुक्ति आंदोलन में हिस्सा लिया। उत्तर प्रदेश की तराई में गन्ना किसानों के आंदोलन को उन्होंने न केवल नई दिशा दी बल्कि वहां आम किसानों के हकों की लड़ाई के लिये रास्ता भी तैयार किया। गढ़वाल विश्वविद्यालय आंदोलन में उनकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रही।

स्व. सुन्दरियाल जी ने साठ के दशक में उत्तराखंड राज्य के विचार को जन-जन तक पहुंचाने की जो मुहिम शुरू की उसने आज के उत्तराखंड का मार्ग प्रशस्त किया। सुन्दरियाल जी ने जिस राज्य की परिकल्पना की थी उसके मूल में हिमालय को बचाकर भारत के शीर्ष पर एक ऐसे राज्य का निर्माण करना था जो भारत की समृद्धि और खुशहाली का संदेश दे। साठ के दशक में जब देश में हिमालय बचाओ आंदोलन के स्वर मुखर हो रहे थे तब उन्होंने हिमालय बसाओ का नारा दिया। उनकी दूरदृष्टि का पता आज पहाड़ की हालत से लगता है। खाली होते पहाड़ और टूटते हिमालय से देश के सामने गंभीर संकट खड़ा है।
